EXPERIENCE
Eighteen years of marketing places, brands, and the people who make them work, from magazine ad sales to running marketing for a 35-acre campus.
INDUSTRY CITY
Head of Marketing · November 2023 – Present
A 35-acre, 6-million-square-foot campus on the Brooklyn waterfront, home to 700+ companies. It’s a real estate asset, a public destination, and a community, and I lead marketing for all three.
Marketing connected to revenue. When our agency’s reporting ended, I built an in-house system that ties marketing to leasing deals and private-event inquiries across 18 lead sources. Leadership now sees what marketing actually produces, not just what it spends.
A new leasing strategy. I rebuilt our leasing marketing around the industries where the campus is strongest and the building types that suit them, with separate approaches for brokers and direct prospects. Ownership approved it, and it now guides our advertising, listings, and PR.
Tenant community, made real. I built a program of gatherings for tenant CEOs and marketing teams, an invitation-only dinner series that deliberately mixes industries and company sizes, and a campus-wide holiday event.
Venue partnerships and programming. Marketing partnerships with event producers including House of Goal, House of Yes, and Beanstalk; annual programming like Open Studios and Design Crawl; and marketing and tenant engagement for a university fundraising partnership that’s returning for 2027.
AI that works. I built CLEO, an AI tenant-intelligence tool the leasing team uses to prep for tours, with no engineering team. I also repositioned our PR for AI search, making Industry City a top AI result for robotics companies looking for space, and created a virtual-staging system that keeps every wall and window where it belongs.
Agency leadership. I ran full searches and transitions for both our advertising and PR agencies, building a leaner model with more capabilities.
